JOJO SEBASTIAN is indeed a man of many talents! He’s undoubtedly a familiar face in the community’s entertainment circuit. He’s one hell of an entertainment package rolled into one – a singer, emcee, pageant host, dancer/choreographer, a model for magazine covers and on the runway, and definitely a poster boy – complete with the good looks and oozing in charm. He’s eye candy on stage properly attired and eloquent. Styled for whatever occasion, with a touch of flamboyance and sometimes perhaps, a little ostentatious for some, he definitely dazzles! It’s no wonder, he’s become a community favourite.
From the Philippines he landed in Hawaii where he studied and served in the US army. But when his heart skipped a beat, he packed his bags and found himself down under which he now calls home. Here in Australia, he continues to thrive and flourish and has become one of the more in demand entertainers worth watching.
Between his many entertainment gigs, he works full time in a supervisory position as a prosthesis coordinator assigned to major hospitals in Sydney. He’s been one of the many courageous frontliners who faced the covid pandemic demands.
He’s backed with three degrees giving him a solid foundation. At the University of Hawaii, he took his Liberal Arts degree; received a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Management and Accounting from the Community College of Armed of Forces; obtained his Bachelor of Nursing from the Australian Catholic University; and also completed a post graduate certificate and diploma from the University of Tasmania.
Multi-talented, Jojo has reaped numerous prestigious awards both here and on the international scene. We’d run out of space to enumerate them all here. Suffice to say, he’s been named the Pageant King in Australia, the Best Pageant Host and is the recipient of the Diamond Excellence Awards.
True to his altruistic nature, he still finds time for his advocacies and volunteers for charities focussing on children and education. “I am dedicated to empowering others and promoting positivity,” says Jojo. “I aim to make a positive impact on the community and I hope to create change and spread love where wherever I go,” he adds.
Wherever his journey takes him, there is no doubt we’ll continue to savour his graciousness off and on stage as he aspires to be more than he already is and give more than he can. That’s positively our Jojo Sebastian!
